Interior Design Trends Inspired by the Ideal Home ShowPosted 11/05/2016
At Loveless Cook Blinds, we like to stay up-to-date with what’s happening in the interior design world. Trade events are a great way to find out what’s hot right now, and our visit to CABMFF’s April Interiors trade show was no exception. Meanwhile, in March, the Ideal Home Show kicked off the year with a look at the biggest interior design trends for 2016. We take a look at a few of them.

Bring the Outside in

Good Homes magazine created six stunning roomsets for the Ideal Home Show, each themed around the concept ‘bring the outside in’. Spring patterns of flora and fauna and light, bright colours brought each room to life.

Window dressings mark the divide in your home between outside and in. How you use them can have a big impact on light and privacy, and how your room relates to your outdoor space. Light, sheer fabrics are perfect for summer and can help you blur the boundaries as they waft lazily on the breeze. Choosing window blinds that give you a lot of choice in how much light you let in, such as Venetian blinds or vertical blinds, can offer you versatility all year round.

Plain Sailing

If you do like to be beside the seaside, you’re in luck. The interior design world has fallen back in love with all things marine. Our quirky collection of designs from New House Textiles includes a gorgeous range of nautical patterns – check out our blog on interior design styles for spring for the full scoop.

Modern Metallic

From cold silver to warm copper tones, metals and metallics are a big trend for 2016. Whether you accessorise with metal curtain rods and finials or go all-out with luxurious fabrics with a metallic shine, it’s easy to make this trend work for you.

With a wide range of traditional and contemporary fabrics from some of the UK’s top manufacturers, such as Louvolite and Eclipse, and a stunning selection of metal finials including the Pristine and Poles Apart ranges, Loveless Cook Blinds has everything you need to inspire your customers looking for fashionable accessories.
