Pollergen-Treated Fabrics Reduce the Symptoms of Hay FeverPosted 18/07/2018

Hayfever girl

Hay fever makes life a misery for in the summer for nearly 25% of the UK population. Oversensitivity to tree and grass pollens causes the classic hay fever symptoms of sneezing, itchy eyes and sore throat. Fabric manufacturer Louvolite have a developed a range of Pollergen-treated fabrics that are designed to reduce the amount of pollen getting into your home.

How it Works

Pollen enters the home via open windows. Curtains and blinds that are made from Pollergen-treated fabrics will denature up to 50% of the pollen entering a room. The isolation and use of denaturing agents is a new and exciting science that has only been around since the beginning of the 21st Century. If you want to know how it all works, here’s a link to the scientific journal where the research was published. For those of us who just want to stop sneezing, all we need to know is that these fabrics seriously reduce the amount of pollen getting in a room. Less pollen means fewer hay fever symptoms!
